Mission Statement: The promotion of unity and cohesiveness among Pakistani Young Adults.

Many of you who will visit this web site will undoubtedly ask why it exists. The purpose of this site is a noble one and if you'll be patient enough to continue reading I will explain it to you. In your states and in your cities and in your towns, what ties bind you all? What brings Pakistanis together? Is it your parents, is it your Mosque, is it your school's Muslim student association? I would say that a little bit of all these things play a part. However, as I've gotten older I have realized that hypocrisy runs rampant in the Pakistani community. There is divisiveness that corrupts our unity. Whether we choose to acknowledge this known fact or cover it up is on our own consciences. I believe that embracing Islam is a logical extension of being Pakistani. This is the very reason that the nation of Pakistan was created. Albeit, I also understand that every Muslim's strength in his or her beliefs varies. Therefore the primary goal of this organization is not to teach Islam, instead this organization is based on a secular premise. This is NOT a Muslim Student Association. This is NOT a call for Muslims of the world to unite. Because of who we are these aims should already be in your mind.

We are people of Pakistani descent: Balochi, Pathan, Punjabi, Sindhi -- Muslim and Christian. This organization is as much meant to serve as a celebration of our differences as it is a celebration of our similarities. And because we live in a country whose basic foundations are heterogeneous in nature, this organization's membership will not be restricted to Pakistanis alone. We welcome all those who seek to further our cause.

Most of all this IS a Pakistani Young Adult Organization. This IS a call for unity among the Pakistani Community. When I say "Pakistani Community" I mean the community that is now being established all over the United States by US! We are the future of Pakistan in America. Most of our parents are immigrants whose noble sacrifices have given us the opportunity to make the most of the opportunities offered to us in our new home. Do not delude yourself into believing that you are NOT part American. In fact you ARE part American now. What does this mean? This means that YOU have the capacity to change your city laws, your state laws, the laws of this very nation, and indeed even foreign policy! By virtue of being born here many of you can even aspire to the Presidency. When UNITED the young Pakistanis of today's America can accomplish anything they so choose.

The AIMS of this movement are many and they include:

1. The establishment of an open forum where young Pakistanis can discuss the issues that are of concern to them as a result of living in the United States.

2. To explore, discuss, and debate what being a young Pakistani in America means.

3. To establish networks of young Pakistani professionals all across the country in order to provide successive generations with a well established framework on which to base their own career objectives.

4. The long term goal of incorporating as many Pakistani leaders in various fields in to the organization, to serve as role models and as advisors to the Pakistani youth of today.

5. To give Pakistanis a REAL voice in the policies and laws that affect our lives.

6. By association with each other, a reaffirmation of our common beliefs, religious and spiritual.
